💰The Most Valuable Marketing Strategy💰

July 10, 2023‱3 min read

You’ve been putting your all into building your online coaching biz.

You’ve invested countless hours and dollars into certifications and continuing education.

You’ve sacrificed early mornings and late nights away from family and friends to reach new clients.

You’ve tried to show up everywhere because that’s what you heard is required to grow your business
Instagram reels, carousel swipes, posting in your stories 8x a day. You started a Facebook group and share content daily, even do weekly live trainings.

Wait
 don’t forget about TikTok, Youtube
and the podcast you still need to start!

But- the ONE place you’ve been reluctant to consider because you don’t want to be “spammy” is EMAIL.

And- ironically, your email list is the only traffic source you are in control of and actually OWN.

Mark Zuckerberg could magically change the algorithm tomorrow and require that all businesses pay to play.

Or even worse
your account gets deleted or hacked and your entire source of leads and traffic would be gone.

If that’s not convincing enough, consider this

An email list is the ONLY business asset with a return of $36 for every $1 spent. (or higher!)

That’s a 3,600% Return on Investment.

The runner-up is social media at a very distant 28% ROI and paid ads right behind at mere 25%.

There’s a VERY clear winner here when it comes to which marketing strategy turns your efforts into more clients and dollars.

We don’t want you to add email to your never ending “to do” list of places you need to show up. We want you to prioritize growing and nurturing the only source of traffic that you actually own which also has the biggest payoff for your business. Your email list!

Let’s start with the basics.

Whether you are emailing occasionally, looking to grow your list or even if you are starting from scratch, having a welcome sequence is important to building a relationship with your new subscriber.

This series of 5-7 emails should tell your story, introduce your brand, build rapport and drive the readers to your next offer.

We recommend starting out using the format detailed in Russel Brunson’s Dotcom Secrets book.

Day 1: Set the stage- Introduce yourself and tell people what to expect in upcoming emails. Build excitement and anticipation.

Day 2: Backstory- Capture their attention with a high drama moment or story, telling them the background and then sharing the barrier or wall you faced.

Day 3: Epiphany- Reveal your big epiphany and how this realization changed everything.

Day 4: Hidden Benefits- Share the benefits of your product that your new subscriber or target market isn’t even thinking about.

Day 5: CTA- Create scarcity and urgency to help your readers take action on your offer or next step.

Next week we will dive into helping you grow your list. But first, go build your welcome sequence so you can improve the initial experience of every new subscriber.

If you are struggle with writing compelling emails, we highly recommend this copywriting course from Mike Millner. https://www.copytoclients.com/ctc

đŸ€«The Secret to Selling While Serving

Imagine standing in front of 100 of your “ideal clients.” You make your offer. You tell them how your program is going to solve their painful problem and deliver the solution they’ve been searching for. “Who wants it?” you ask.

📈 Want to Generate More Leads?

If you are like most nutrition coaches, your first clients likely came from friends, family and people you already knew. But at some point, that list of warm leads runs out. Then what?

👊How to Deliver the Most Value at Your Speaking Event👊

At the very beginning of starting my online coaching business, I started doing seminars. I’d reach out to local CrossFit gyms and offer a free nutrition seminar. It was the source of many of my first email addresses and many of my first clients. I still love the opportunity to speak
but that’s exactly what it is, an opportunity.
